Feedback is valuable.
But feedback is not the same as instruction.
Someone can dislike your work and still help you understand how it was received.
Someone can point out a problem without knowing how to solve it.
Someone can offer a solution that doesn’t belong in the work at all.
That’s why creative judgment matters.
Listen carefully.
Look for patterns.
Pay attention when different people are responding to the same problem.
But don’t surrender responsibility for the work simply because someone has an opinion about it.
Feedback gives you information.
Judgment helps you decide what to do with it.
The goal isn’t to obey every criticism.
It’s to understand what the criticism can teach you.
